First Day of Black History Month

I enjoyed how we started off with the bellringer. Just knowing that other people have different reasons as to why they celebrate Black History Month is intriguing. People gave different reasons, while others had similarities. Reading Langston Hughes poem, "The Negro Speaks of Rivers," was very interesting because it was very complex and engaging. I really enjoyed it because it makes you wonder if it is possibly true that African Americans were the first on Earth. Class today really makes me want to go read more on my family history.
