Certainty vs Doubt

In the beginning of class, we watched a short film about a student and teacher debating about 2+2=5. I really enjoyed the film because it opened my eyes to how you can never change how nobody thinks. When the child continued to press the issue, the teacher instantly got upset and issued for the child to be "killed." It really reminds me of the quote "if you don't stand for nothing, you will fall for anything." As class continued, we went on to discuss the difference in certainty and doubt. There is clearly no relationship between the two because if you are certain then you will never have doubt in anything and vice versa. Not only that, religion plays a huge role in someone being certain. They give all their trust and faith to "God" with certainty that he will handle it. All in all, the discussion in class was very needed and intriguing.
